Unable to Print Test Page After Installation
If you followed the installation tutorial successfully but still cannot print a test page, please check the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Try Printing a File Directly From Your PC
After the printer driver is installed successfully, if the Driver Assistant cannot print the test page, please try printing a normal file directly from your local computer.
For example:
- Open a PDF, Word document, or image file
- Select the newly installed printer driver
- Send a print job manually
This helps confirm whether the printer driver itself is working properly.
2. Disable IPv6 on Your PC
In some network environments, IPv6 may interfere with printer communication.
If the print job cannot be executed after installing the driver:
- Open your PC’s network settings
- Disable the IPv6 protocol for the active network adapter
- Restart the printer software and try printing again
This issue is commonly related to local network configuration.
3. Check Printer Status and Restart the Print Server
If the printer is not in a “Ready” state, print jobs may become paused or fail.
Please check:
- Whether the printer is powered on
- Whether there are any error lights or paper jams
- Whether the printer is shown as “Ready” on the computer
After confirming the printer status:
- Restart the print server device
- Wait about 30 seconds
- Try printing the test page again
If the issue still persists, please contact technical support and provide your printer model and installation environment details.
