What to do if your Mac cannot complete the setup or prints incorrectly?

Possible symptoms:

  • Unable to add the printer on Mac
  • Printer added successfully but unable to print

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Make sure your Mac is connected to the same local network as the print server.
    Access the print server’s IP address in your browser and confirm the webpage opens normally.
  2. Check whether the IP address and port number entered during the printer setup are correct.
  3. If the printer was added correctly but printing is abnormal, go to Printer Properties → Ports and uncheck “Bidirectional Support.”
  4. Restart your computer and printer, then try again.
