Our technical team is dedicated to tackling the daily challenges of printing sharing technology. We’re constantly updating our compatibility list to ensure that our printing servers are compatible with a wide range of devices. If you can’t find your printer model on our compatibility list, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
First, power on the device, then connect the USB port of the printer to the USB port of the print server, and proceed with the network configuration. Instructional video: For Windows; For Mac
If the print server has been relocated or previously connected to a wired network, it may automatically disable the network configuration signal. You can re-enable the network configuration hotspot by short-pressing the reset button, or restore the factory settings to revert the print server to its default state.
Scenario 1: If the network configuration fails but the print server’s status indicator light has turned into a solid cloud icon (Cloud), it indicates successful network configuration. You can ignore the network configuration failure message and proceed to use the printer.
Scenario 2: If network configuration fails and the device’s cloud status indicator light keeps blinking, it might be due to an incorrect Wi-Fi password. Please verify and retry the network configuration.
Scenario 3: If the wireless router that the print server is connected to cannot access the internet, the success of the print server’s network configuration will depend on the internet connection. Please ensure that the Wi-Fi network connected by the print server has internet access.
Scenario 1: The print server may not support 5GHz Wi-Fi and can only detect 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signals. Please connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
Scenario 2: If the wireless router’s SSID is hidden, you need to manually input the Wi-Fi name to connect or disable the router’s Wi-Fi hiding feature.
The print server driver installation assistant can only search for print server devices within the same LAN. If the computer and print server are not on the same router, this situation may occur. Ensure that the computer and print server are connected to the same router or switch. If the computer is under a secondary router, manually input the print server’s IP address for adding.
The scanning function of the printer needs to be directly connected to the computer via USB to be used. If the print server you purchased supports scanning (LK100EW or LK300EW), you can use the scanning function by downloading virtual USB tools to connect the printer’s USB to the computer or by reconnecting the printer’s USB to the computer for scanning operations.
In a static IP address environment, the print server cannot automatically obtain an IP address. You need to manually set the IP or fix the automatically obtained IP address. You can refer to this setup tutorial: [Link].
If the printer was previously directly connected via USB, the computer may already have installed printer drivers. After using the print server, the original printer drivers may show as offline and unable to print. Therefore, please select the newly connected printer when printing documents, instead of the previous printer. The name of the new printer can be found on the test page.
Newly installed printers need to adjust parameters according to actual conditions, including paper size, paper orientation, etc. For specific settings, please contact the corresponding printer service provider or software vendor.
Once you finish setting up the network for the print server, you can manage its Wi-Fi settings through a web browser. To do so, simply open a web browser on any device connected to the same network, and type in either the IP address that was automatically assigned to the print server or the static IP address you specifically assigned to it. This will allow you to access the administrative pages where you can configure the Wi-Fi settings according to your preferences.
Common issues encountered during daily use:
If you receive an offline prompt, it means there’s an issue with the device’s current network connection. First, try restarting the network devices (such as the modem/router) connected to the print server, then observe if the Cloud status indicator light stays on steadily. If you’ve changed the router or Wi-Fi password, you’ll need to reconfigure the network settings.
While the print server is running normally, press and hold the reset button for 5-8 seconds. Release the button when the USB indicator light on the print server blinks rapidly. If the indicator lights are synchronously blinking or pulsating, power cycle the device, wait for it to boot up normally, and then proceed with the factory reset.
If using a wired connection, the device has two LAN ports. Prioritize connecting LAN1 to the modem or router your computer or phone is connected to. After connecting the Ethernet cable, reset the device to factory settings (refer to Question 13), as it might still be using the wireless connection.
There are several possible reasons for the indicator light not lighting up:
①The printer’s power is off. Turn on the printer and observe the print server’s status.
②The printer’s data cable is damaged or not making proper contact. Try connecting another USB device (like a USB drive) to the print server to see if the indicator light stays on. If it does, replace the USB data cable.
③The print server’s USB port or indicator light is faulty. Test printing with a phone or another device. If it indicates that the printer isn’t available or isn’t connected via USB, and other USB devices also fail to light up the indicator, the print server’s USB port might be damaged. Contact the vendor for repair.
After relocating the print server and changing the network, you’ll need to reconfigure the network settings. Press and hold the reset button for 5-8 seconds to restore the print server to its factory defaults until the USB indicator light blinks rapidly.Wait for about 1-2 minutes, after the Cloud indicator light starts flashing, you can begin the network configuration process.
The situations include: the printer running out of paper and not printing even after reloading paper; and the printer not printing properly after encountering a paper jam or being paused.
In such situations, Restart both the print server and the printer to resolve the issue.
